School Counselor

Hello!
A Little Bit About Me:

Hi! So glad you're here :) I currently live
in South Philly, love to cook, and love
my dog and cat even more!
I taught 3rd grade for 5 years before I realized that the best way that I can help students reach their fullest potential is to support them in their social and emotional needs first, so their
academic growth can soar.
I hope you enjoy some of the work I
have done supporting students
and families.

Mission Statement
My mission is to extend opportunity and resources to all students so they can be successful. In partnership with teachers, administrators, families and the community, I will support rigorous academics, in conjunction with social emotional learning, to provide students with a foundation to continue onto a career or post secondary education. Students will gain the skills necessary to navigate our ever changing world as productive citizens, and will develop a self-motivated drive to be lifelong learners in their chosen path.
Belief Statements
All students can be successful.

All students have the potential to grow.

All students have a right to feel loved and a sense of belonging.

All students have a right to be seen holistically, and have their diverse needs met.

All students deserve access to an exceptional education that prepares them for post-secondary opportunities.

All students deserve a high-quality school counseling program that meets their academic, social, emotional, physical and physiological needs.

All students deserve a school counseling program that follows the ASCA Model and Code of Ethics, ensuring that decisions are based on the highest possible standards.

All students deserve school counselors who are leaders in and out of the school, who work in partnership with administrators, teachers, staff, families and the community.

Vision Statement

I believe that, through a high quality counseling program, all students will be steadfast in their lifelong pursuit of knowledge. With this self-motivated initiative, they will be able to become responsible, empathetic and critically thinking citizens in the diverse world of the 21st century. They will have the skillset to be problem solvers and be socially responsible for all groups of people, and will strive for equity despite the challenges they encounter. They will be equipped to make a positive impact on the world around them, with the support of the entire school community and programming presented to them throughout their educational journey.
